When & How to drink the Turmeric Jamu

 

Turmeric Jamu is a versatile and unique drink that can be consumed in many ways. 

There is no fixed time to drink the Turmeric Jamu. For the best result, have a small portion (about 150 - 250 ml) first thing in the morning for better blood circulation and absorption.​ If you have a gastric problem have it at the end of a meal or in between meals.​​ 

It is suitable to take both hot and cold. It can be directly served (as a daily wellness shot) or heated for a soothing drink to prevent or to relieve winter colds.

  •  If it is too strong or spicy for you, you can always dilute it with a bit of hot or cold water and add honey according to your personal taste.​

  • Try it heated up with nut milk to make fabulous warming Golden Milk.

  • Mix with fresh juice (apple, orange, pineapple, etc.).

  • Add a few drops of fresh lemon or lime juice for extra flavour.

  • Try with a sprinkle of cinnamon powder on top.

  • It is a great addition to smoothies.

 

Remember to give it a stir before pouring it into a cup as the good stuff tends to settle at the bottom of the bottle.​

 

Precautions!

  • Do not drink during pregnancy or menstrual cycle.

  • Please avoid drinking at night because it enhances blood circulation. Your body may become too active thus affecting the quality of sleep.

  • Please drink after meals if you have a gastric acid problem.
